Soap & Glory Peach Party

Soap & Glory
Peach Party in Apricot Jam
Boots £11

I love a sweep of blush and there is nothing better for perking up pale skin. However, us ghosts have to be careful not to overdo it with deep colour. As a cool ash blonde, I loved pale and pink blushes in anything from candyfloss to vintage rose to Barbie-cerise. As a warm copper blonde, I've had to veer towards peach and nude blushes as bright pink is just too much with the hair.

I'm a big fan of Soap & Glory bath and body stuff, and was lured-in by a 2 for £15 offer in Boots on the make-up stand. Peach Party in Apricot Jam is a "multi-colour blush brick" with a gorgeous peachy-gold finish. It is a bit sparkly, but totally wearable in the day as long as you don't go overboard. It's a very hard colour to photograph, as the shimmery metallic pigment seems to catch the light and it completely overshadows the lovely peachyness underneath.

Peach Party is a multi-dimensional brick with peach, copper and gold pearlised pigments. I suppose it would be possible to use a small brush or eyeshadow sponge applicator to pick up the individual colours, but they do look wonderful swirled together.

Darker-skinned lovelies would be able to build up the colour on this, and use it to give a lovely warm glow. Ghosties should use a light hand with a fluffy blush brush to sweep a little of the product: on the apples of the cheeks; very slightly on the nose; and a little swirl on each temple. Using a warm apricot or beige eyeshadow and a peachy-nude lippy unifies the look. Peachy perfection!
